 Beijing Banknote Printing Plant, which was established in 1908, is the first one in China of using steel-plate intaglio technology for banknote printing.

Security Ink Maker (Zhong Rong Security Ink Maker) is subordinate to Beijing Banknote Printing Plant, and it is also named Beijing Banknote Printing Plant Security Ink Maker. Zhong Rong Security Ink Maker is the oldest ink maker in China banknote printing plant, and it is one of the few ink suppliers in the world which can carry out research and development independently and produce technologically advanced security ink.
    After nearly one hundred years, Zhong Rong Security Ink Maker has become a specialized ink manufacturer. We have obtained extremely high quality water-wiping intaglio ink for printing without interleaves, and undertaken the research and development for the ink of the 1st to 5th series of RMB banknotes. We also have provided ink for banknotes printing to several countries and regions for a long time. Meanwhile we supply various advanced inks, including composite fluorescent inks, infrared fluorescent inks, magnetic inks, thermo chromic inks and color shift inks, etc.
